USA imposed new sanctions against the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps

The elite military formation of Iran included in the sanctions list of individuals supporting terrorism. This does not mean the recognition of the IRGC as a terrorist organization. Before that the IRGC was in the other lists sanctions related to Iran.

The US Treasury Department has included the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC, a special unit of the Iranian armed forces) in the sanctions list of individuals and organizations engaged in terrorist activities or support terrorists (SDGT, Specially Designated Global Terrorist).

The Department explained that this does not mean that the IRGC is recognized as a terrorist organization. The decision on recognition of a terrorist organization takes the US state Department.
