The court of Spain recognized the independence of Catalonia illegal
The constitutional court of Spain suspended the Declaration on the independence of Catalonia, approved by the authorities of the region on 27 October, said the official representative of the court.
On Friday, the Catalan Parliament voted to secede from Spain, having approved the corresponding Declaration. Immediately after that Madrid imposed in the autonomy of direct rule, and announced the dissolution of the Catalan Parliament.
Meanwhile, the ousted head of the government of Catalonia Carles Putteman said at a press conference in Brussels that Spain has launched an aggressive campaign against the Catalan people.
According to the former leader of Catalonia, the Spanish court has no grounds for a case against him and his Ministers, and threats in their address say about the aggression of Madrid.
About leaving Pokdemon in Belgium said yesterday his lawyer. However, he did not specify whether his client to seek political asylum in this country.
The Prosecutor’s office of Spain is threatening to assert against Pokdemon and his colleagues, on charges of rebellion in connection with the October 1 referendum on the independence of Catalonia. The referendum was not recognized neither Madrid or Brussels.
