Saakashvili called for early presidential elections in Ukraine
The former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili during a speech at a protest near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called for early elections of the President of the country. About it reports “Interfax”.
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko should leave, if they do not fulfill the demands of the protesters.

The politician stressed that the demonstrators did not prepare a coup. However, Saakashvili added that the protesters “have a mechanism to change the power”. He also suggested the use of new mechanisms during early presidential elections, particularly primaries.
Today, October 29, in front of the Parliament gathered about 400 supporters of Saakashvili, with law enforcement watching 700 police officers and national guard. This is stated in the message on the website of national police of Kiev.
“The following order of 700 police officers and servicemen of National guard of Ukraine. Today near the Parliament building gathered more in the past week people: now there are about 400 people”, — stated in the message.
Anti-corruption rally near the Parliament building takes place from October 17. The organizer of the campaign by including Saakashvili’s party “the Movement of new forces.” On the same day began to put up tents near the Ukrainian Parliament. The demonstrators demanded to carry out political reform in the country. We are talking about the abolition of the provisions on parliamentary immunity, anti-corruption court and the amendment of the electoral law. According to Saakashvili, the campaign will last until November 7. On this day, the deputies will hold a plenary session in Parliament.
