“The President of the Russian space Agency appealed to the Minister of foreign Affairs, the Chairman of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Sergey Lavrov with the proposal on the promotion of the construction of the cosmodrome “Baikonur” and in particular, the Gagarin start (Gagarin start) to the world heritage list as a joint nomination of Russia and Kazakhstan”, — said Ordzhonikidze during the all-Russian conference “Russia in the world cultural heritage”.
According to Ordzhonikidze, the proposal was made a few days ago.
