US ready to impose sanctions against the FSB and 33 defense companies in Russia

The list of organizations against which the United States is going to impose restrictions, includes the FSB, GRU, SVR. This is with reference to the document reported by the New York Times.

The list also includes 33 Russian defence companies. Among them are “Dry”, “Tupolev”, “MiG”, “Kalashnikov”, “Izhmash” and “Rosoboronexport”. A list of the transferred property trump to Congress on Thursday.

As explained by officials in the White house, the sanctions are planned against a number of individuals in the U.S. who, despite warnings, did not cease business relations with earlier fall under the restrictions of the Russian organizations.

The official explanation of the new sanctions — a response to Russia’s actions in Eastern Europe and interference in the American presidential election of 2016.

According to New York Times, the new list was compiled in response to pressure from several members of Congress from the Democratic and Republican parties, dissatisfied with too soft, in their opinion, the position of the White house towards Russia.
