Sobyanin told about the readiness to run for mayor of Moscow in 2018

The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in an interview with the family-owned Demyan Kudryavtsev, the newspaper “Vedomosti” said that does not exclude his nomination for the post of head of the capital in 2018.

“With the big share of probability it is possible to say that Yes, although we still have to wait for the announcement of the election campaign. I consider it my duty to finish those reforms that are in the city,” the mayor said.

He noted that we need to further develop the system of healthcare, engaged in transport construction and construction of new metro lines. “Is to relax a bit, not keep track of the expenses and we as some don’t want to point fingers — to shout that we have no money, the Ministry of Finance so-and-so does not give money. Everything will stop. And I will be very unpleasant and painful, if it happens. The desire to finish what I’ve started, I have,” — said Sobyanin.

Sobyanin was appointed Moscow mayor in 2010 and in 2013 he was re-elected to this post. Before that the politician had held the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and the chief of staff of the Russian government, head of the presidential administration and the Governor of the Tyumen region.

The mayoral elections to be held in September 2018.
