Blood responsible for a fatal accident in Kharkov found opiates

The alleged culprit fatal accident in Kharkov, the 20-year-old Elena Zaitseva at the time of the accident was under the influence of opiates. On conclusion of the examination on Friday, 20 October, said the representative of public prosecution at the session of Kyiv district court of the city, reports UNIAN.

As noted in Prosecutor’s office of Kharkiv region, Zaitsev denied that he took drugs.

Lexus, at the wheel which was Zaitseva, crashed into a group of people in the evening of 18 October. Five people were killed (according to other data, six), six more were taken to hospitals with injuries of varying severity.

The incident occurred at 20:45 local time (coincides with Moscow) on Sumskaya street. Driving a Lexus girl entered of people waiting for the green light. The culprit of the accident born in 1997 I drove a car owned by her father. According to UNIAN, the accident occurred due to the collision of a Lexus with a VW Touareg.

A criminal case was opened under article “Violation of rules of traffic safety or transport operation by persons driving vehicles” of the Criminal code of the country, it provides till 10 years of imprisonment.
