The job of an executioner caused a stir among Zimbabweans

More than 50 Zimbabweans had applied for the vacant post of executioner. It is reported by The Bangladesh News Live.

“People are very interested in this work”, — said the Deputy Minister of justice Virginia, Mabhiza. She added that among the applicants there are both men and women.

The death penalty has not been carried out in Zimbabwe for the past 12 years. In 2013, the country adopted a new Constitution, according to which, if at the time of the crime sentenced to was less than 21 or more than 70 years, the penalty will be enforced.
