More than 40% of Russians said about the worst times ahead

About 20% of Russians said that the most difficult times the country is going through now, twice I believe that the main difficulties are still ahead. However, 31% felt that have experienced the most unpleasant, has found out VTSIOM.

According to a survey by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM), over 40% of Russians believe that hard times are still ahead, they have to survive, while 21% of respondents said that the hard times have already arrived. At the same time 31% of respondents said that the hard times have passed.

“The proportion of those who think that the worst times are ahead, today is 41%, while the share of those who believe that they have left behind — 31%. Feel 21% of respondents, the biggest challenges we’re going through now”, — quotes the research of RIA Novosti.

Based on the data of VCIOM expects the index of social expectations, which is now in the zone of negative values of minus 31 points. The index can take values from +100 to -100, the higher value of this indicator, the more optimistic Russians are looking to the future, experts of the VTSIOM. In may 2017 the level was minus 35 points.

According to the center’s website, the highest value in recent years, the social expectations index showed in the second quarter of 2014, however, and he remained in the zone of negative values of the four points below zero. Then for a short period the share of those who believe that difficult times were exceeded reviews and pessimists made up 41%. However, the first quarter of 2015, this index dropped to minus 60, a year to minus 62. The share of “optimists” when it fell respectively to 16% and 15%.

The decline occurred mainly at the expense of those that believed that the main difficulties are still ahead in early 2016, so estimates of the term, 52% of Russians.
