Moscow. 11 Oct. INTERFAX.RU — intelligence Committee of the house of representatives of the U.S. Congress intends to publish a collection attributed to Russia’s political advertising placed on Facebook during the elections of 2016 in the USA, informs on Wednesday TV channel CNBC.
It is planned that the reports will be published in the public domain before 1 November, when the Committee must undergo a hearing with representatives from Facebook and Twitter.
At the same time, the publication Politico claims that, according to him, the Senate, unlike the house of representatives decided that Facebook needs to decide whether to publish the messages.
Previously Facebook gave a selection of 3 thousand advertising messages allegedly posted by the Russian Committee on intelligence of the house of representatives. All these ads were linked with 470 pages and accounts registered in the social network.
In early October, representatives of Facebook and Twitter have agreed to participate in the scheduled for November 1 hearing of the Committee in connection with the “Russian case”. The purpose of the hearings is to find out how RF could try to influence the outcome of American elections.
