Arrested driver of the bus collided with a train in the Vladimir region
MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. Insurance investigators detained the bus driver, who on 6 October in the Vladimir region on a railway crossing near the station Cover collided with a train, killing 17 people.
As the representative of the Moscow interregional investigative management on transport (MSUT) SK the Russian Federation Elena Markov, the investigators found that “the bus on its technical characteristics was unsuitable for the carriage of passengers.”
“However, the bus driver, Sarmanov Nurgali, knowing about existing faults, continued to provide services for the carriage of passengers”, — said the representative of MMSET.
The collision killed 17 people, including two minors, other passengers were injured.
“In the near future Sarmanovo will be charged (in the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers, inadvertently caused the death of two and more persons), then the consequence intends to petition before court about election concerning the accused of the measure of restraint”, — said the representative of MMSET.
