Russian tour operators from Saturday, October 7, cease cooperation with the airline “VIM-Avia”. The remaining flights will be operated by other carriers. About it it is reported on the website of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR).
“She “VIM-Avia” ceases to perform all types of flight October 15,” says ATOR.
On 25 September, the company “VIM-Avia” has ceased to perform Charter flights for lack of Finance. Abroad at that time there were more than 30,6 thousand Russian tourists, and 80 per cent in Turkey.
The Federal air transport Agency said that the total debt “VIM-Avia” is about 7 billion rubles. Law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case under article of the criminal code “Fraud”. The Director General of the airline company Alexander Kochnev was charged with embezzlement of funds of passengers.
Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich has promised to complete a Charter program of the troubled airline by 7 October. Return passengers home took control of the Ministry of transport. At the same time decided that the transportation of passengers by scheduled flights “VIM-Avia” will carry out on October 15.
