Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Olga Golodets
The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev asked Vice-Premier Olga Golodets to reporting the results of the vaccination campaign, which starts in Cabinet 5 October. It is reported TASS on Monday, October 2nd.
Golodets called on his colleagues to get vaccinated against the flu. “She certainly will,” she said.
On 22 September the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky has called for a fine of deputies of the state Duma, which refused to do flu shots and got sick. The politician stressed that he and his colleagues in the faction were vaccinated. In his opinion, most should fear the so-called swine flu.
On 17 September the Minister of health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova said that the beginning of the epidemic of influenza is expected in the country in late autumn. This year, according to Ministry of health, will dominate the strain of a H1N1 (swine flu). The Agency of vaccination is called the chief weapon against him.
