Medvedev approved the rules for the handling of lamps and censers

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on amendments to the fire prevention Rules concerning religious objects. The text posted on the government website.

In the explanatory note to the document notes that the rules of fire safety in buildings of a religious cult were not previously regulated.

Changes, in particular, determine the conditions for the storage of flammable liquids and materials that are used in lamps, lamps and censers. In addition, rules are established for their use.

“Kindled censer during the divine services can only be supplied on a non-combustible base in a special place decorated with non-combustible materials. The distance from the place of installation kindled censer to spaces and interiors, clothing and other items made from combustible materials should be at least 0.5 meters”, — stated in the document.

It is also forbidden to place clothes hangers parishioners close to open flames. In the place of worship should be at least one fire extinguisher.

It is emphasized that the rules agreed with the representatives of religious denominations.
