The court arrested for two months, the former head of administration of Chelyabinsk Sergey Davydov, a suspect in the fraud with funds of the municipal enterprise. On Saturday, September 30, reports “Interfax” referring to Management of FSB of Russia in the region.
During the meeting of the court of Tsentralny district of the city, Davydov said that does not agree with the detention, and asked the court to take any other measure passes Znak.com.
“I learned about the test a few months ago, recently returned from a holiday abroad if I wanted to, I would have disappeared. To hide I’m not gonna want to see everything for myself”, he said.
The former mayor also denied the words of the investigator about the presence of real estate in Spain. He assured the court that he seized the passport, so “hiding anywhere I can’t ask about house arrest.”
The day before employees of FSB have carried out operational-investigative activities at the place of work of Davydov. The searches took place in the framework of the criminal case of fraud with funds from the municipal budget in especially large size.
According to intelligence agencies, between 2012 and 2015, had stolen a large sum of money from the municipal enterprises in the housing sector.
Davydov headed the administration of Chelyabinsk from 2010 to 2014. It was called in the local press a friend of the former Governor of the region Mikhail Yurevich, who is now wanted on criminal case about bribery.
