Saakashvili called the date a “big rally” in Kiev

The former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili called on the “big rally” in Kiev. It will be held on October 17. He declared on shares of its supporters in Odessa on 30 September, reports TASS.

“I encourage everyone to go on 17 October in Kyiv to clean bandit top and cut off the head of an octopus”, — Saakashvili said.

The former Georgian leader who can’t qualify for the presidency in Ukraine after the expected change of government in Kiev intends to return to Odessa to continue its development.

Just on meeting, by estimations of eyewitnesses, came about 500 people.

Before the speech, the former Governor of Odessa region in the square there was a fight between supporters and opponents of Saakashvili. The police quickly threw up the conflicting parties.

Deprived of Ukrainian citizenship Saakashvili on 10 September moved to Ukraine through the checkpoint “shehyni”. With a crowd of supporters of policy broke through the cordon of guards.

On September 12 he said he plans to travel “many cities and villages” in Ukraine.

September 22, district court of Lviv region declared Saakashvili, guilty of illegally crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border and sentenced him to a fine in the amount of 200 tax-free minima, that is 3.4 thousand UAH (less than 7,5 thousand rubles).

Saakashvili was the head of Odessa oblast from may 2015 to November 2016 and resigned at own will left a post of the adviser of the Ukrainian President. From 2004 to 2013 he was the President of Georgia, after which he was stripped of his citizenship and brought against him several criminal cases, including the embezzlement of public funds. He also announced an internal investigation.
