The President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the operational meeting with permanent members of the security Council discussed the growing pressure on Russian media abroad. On Friday, September 29, reported the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports the correspondent of”.ru”.

A Kremlin spokesman said that during the meeting they discussed current domestic issues related to economic and social development, as well as Syrian issues.

Previously a member of the house of representatives, democratic party USA David Cicilline made for the registration of the TV channel Russia Today (RT) as a foreign agent, reports “Interfax”. This, in his opinion, would be in the interests of the American audience. The chief editor of RT Margarita Simonyan said the channel’s registration in the United States as ieagent may lead to the termination of his work in this country.

The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that “every step against the Russian media will have a corresponding response.”

Last summer, the Russian journalists several times been exiled from Ukraine. In particular, in mid-August the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has expelled a Russian journalist, the employee of the VGTRK Tamara Nersessian.
