Peskov commented on the rotary processes of governors

Among the governors do not appear "technocrats", and the young wide-profile experts, such rotary processes in the Governor’s case focused on the upgrade, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree dismissing Valeriy Shantsev as Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region, appointed acting head of the region first Deputy head of the Ministry of industry and trade Gleb Nikitin. On Monday, the President signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of Samara region Nikolai Merkushkin was appointed acting head of the region Dmitry Azarov.

“The rotary process in the case of regional leaders, it is absolutely normal, relevant and expected process. In this case, the head of state, he indeed goes the way it updates rotation of the gubernatorial corps. This is an absolutely normal process,” Peskov said on Wednesday.

Press Secretary of the Russian leader also asked that the new acting heads of regions see similar features, describing them as “young technocrats”, however, Peskov said that “he said (to) different- young, wide-profile specialists”.

“And, actually, those, young, talented, versatile professionals, and the President has repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that they all have experience in the Federal government on many different areas, bodies of regional authorities. And, in fact, according to the President, they are able to implement tried and tested already, despite his young age the potential for development of those regions which they led,” — said Peskov.
