Doctor: in Russia there are no preconditions for increasing life expectancy
MOSCOW, 29 Sep — RIA Novosti. Objective reasons for the rapid growth of life expectancy of Russians is not even under favourable socio-economic situation in the country, told RIA Novosti the gerontology Elena Tereshina.
Previously “Izvestia” reported that Rosstat increased life expectancy of pensioners in Russia. According to forecasts of the service, the Russians retired in the past year, on average, can live to 78.4 years.
“There is no objective reason to so quickly increased life expectancy,” said Tereshina.
She added that she does not believe in the reality of such numbers, “when that way of life, which now (is), load stress and poor nutrition”.
“I don’t believe. Even with very favorable socio-economic environment”, she added.
According to the gerontologist, on the basis of its practice, the life expectancy, particularly for men in Russia is not more than 65 years. Most often Russians die from heart attacks and heart failure.
“My personal opinion is that if more recently, life expectancy for men and 60.5 years, do you think that in seven years, to reach 72? It’s impossible. No country has achieved (such performance), even in very good economic situation”, — said the expert.
