The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the leader of the Republic of Guinea alpha Conde during a meeting in the suburban residence of the Russian leader’s Novo-Ogaryovo exchanged awards. On Thursday, September 28, RIA Novosti reported.

The meeting was held in the framework of the official visit condé to Russia at the invitation of Putin.

The President of Russia handed over to the leader of Guinea, the order of Friendship. In turn, condé has been awarded Putin the Grand cross of the National order of merit.

Thus Conde thanked Putin for assistance in combating Ebola and the opening of the center for the study of this disease. “I hope that you will help us, as you do, and in the development and use of vaccines, and the training of specialists in the field of use of these drugs,” — said the President of Guinea.

Putin, in turn, said that Russian investors are showing interest in the market of the Republic. “Only one of the companies, RUSAL has invested about $ 300 million,” — said Putin.

The disease caused by Ebola virus, acute infection, affects humans and some animals. The epidemic began in February 2014 in Guinea. Then it spread to the neighboring state. Russia has made a significant contribution to the fight against Ebola, pointing to Guinea specialists, infectious disease specialists and 150 tons of medical equipment. Also in this African Republic are post-marketing tests of the Russian vaccine against Ebola.
