Investigators in the Leningrad region has begun check upon death of the collector of arms and ammunition during the great Patriotic war, who tried to cut mine. On Wednesday, September 27, the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the region.

The incident occurred on 26 September at one of the houses in Novgorod to Podporozh’ye. According to investigators, 62-year-old man, being in the outbuildings, tried to cut 81-mm mortar mine. In the process it exploded, the man from the received traumas has died.

Arrived at the scene, investigators found the ammunition for the TT pistol, shotgun and three 81-mm mortar mines. Ammunition was taken to a safe place where they planned to destroy. “Currently, threats to the safety of the residents of nearby houses there,” — stressed in the UK.

Employees of the investigation Department establish all the circumstances of the incident. By results of check the procedural decision will be made.
