MPs call to stop financing of works that “do not correspond to the historical realities”
Interfactional group of deputies of the state Duma on the protection of Christian values at the working session adopted a statement on “inadmissibility of expenditure of means of the Russian taxpayers, ordinary citizens who honor traditional moral, religious and family values, acts, provoking a split in society, scandals in the theatre halls, protests in the exhibition centres”. The text of the statement on the page in Facebook published a state Duma Deputy leader of the party “Rodina” Alexey Zhuravlev.
Inter-faction group for the protection of Christian values chaired by the head of the Committee on civil society development issues, public and religious organisations Sergey Gavrilov (Communist party). Mr Zhuravlev said that in the meeting took part the Deputy Natalia Poklonskaya. The statement says that “significantly increasing cases of” appearance of creative projects, which are based on “blatant and deliberate provocation, nisprovergatelya traditional moral values: family, state-Patriotic”.
“An attempt to slander historical figures recognized in the samples of the sanctity of family — tested scheme in the service of the destroyers of the foundations of Russian statehood,” — say the authors.
“The year of the centenary of the October revolution and the eve of the century the tragic murder of the Imperial family, whose members are recognized as saints, Russian society is especially in need of reconciliation and the consent, as repeatedly expressed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin”, — said the Deputy. Note Nicholas II of the Russian Orthodox Church venerated as a new Martyr.
The authors of the statement believe that government policy in the field of culture, the media “needs radical reform” as “spiritual security” has always been “an integral part of national security of Russia”.
