The state Duma adopted in the first reading the bill on benefits for employers paying their employees with trips to Russia, reports TASS.
The document exempts the organization from paying income tax on the amounts spent for such purposes. But there is a limitation: the benefit is provided a maximum of 50 thousand rubles per person per year.
According to a member of the Federation Council Valery Ryazansky, one of the authors of the bill, at the end of last year the average cost of a tour in Russia amounted to 29.5 thousand rubles. Therefore, in the document, he said, laid “quite a high reserve.”
It is assumed that the introduction of such tax incentives for businesses will increase revenues to the budget and extrabudgetary funds other taxes and contributions, duties, levies against development of domestic tourism.
The bill provides that employers will enter into contracts with tour operators for the travel of their employees and their families during the year in Russia. In the tour package will include transportation, hotel accommodation and meals (if provided in conjunction with accommodation), as well as excursions. Such a system should provide employers with the ability to evenly distribute employee vacations during the calendar year.
In June it was reported that according to a survey conducted by the staff of the Public television of Russia (OTR), the majority of Russians this summer, prefer domestic tourism or even refused to rest.
