Russia is preparing a bill on conscription of civilians into the army during the war. The corresponding document was developed by the Ministry of defence. It is published on the portal of projects of normative acts.
The bill envisages amendments to the Federal laws “On defense” and “On military duty and military service”. Currently in Russia there are no laws that would regulate the conscription of civilians into the armed forces in time of war. The authors emphasize that the present bill as an act of wartime. It is noted that the bill would allow for calling civilians to the army in time of warfare. The number the call will be determined by the General staff.
