GENEVA, 19 September. /TASS/. Russia urged the human rights bodies of the UN contribute to the eradication of impunity for torture in the United States, expressed concern over ethnic and religious intolerance in the countries of the European Union, condemned the persecution of dissidents in Ukraine. The severity of these problems drew attention in his speech on Tuesday at session of the UN Council on human rights (HRC), the representative of the Russian delegation Kristina Sukacheva.
“It is unlikely that prevailing in the U.S. impunity for torture, kidnapping citizens of other countries, the disproportionate use of force by the police, obviously with racial prejudice, the use of child labor and legalized corporal punishment of children can give Washington the right to mentalstate and teach others,” she said.
