The Ministry of health of Russia proposed to change the terms of the insurance, if they refused to vaccinate their children. The head of Department Veronika Skvortsova said in the program “week” on TV channel NTV on Sunday, September 17.
According to her, the Ministry of health cannot compel citizens to vaccinate children, but is looking for other ways to influence them. “We are trying to negotiate with the social insurance Fund to any mechanisms, including the material included. For example, if a child falls ill due to your fault, you refused his vaccination, can be important to the sick list you paid for not like everyone else”, she explained.
The Minister added that the Ministry was preparing a bill that would forbid to distort information about the treatment of certain diseases, such as measles.
“Many mental preserved the feeling that it is necessary in childhood to recover from infections. But now it is contrary to common sense. In countries that are near us are in the same Europe — measles outbreaks are quite frequent and they are accompanied by very serious complications. So, of course, it is necessary to vaccinate,” said Skvortsova.
She noted that the quality of vaccines in Russia is at a high level. “We are introducing to all children, and we are changing in this way the immunity of an entire generation. Extremely rare any side effects. And technologies and to develop new vaccines, including the most advanced vector vaccines we are the first in the world,” the Minister said.
Skvortsova also said that the beginning of the epidemic of influenza is expected in the country in late autumn. This year, according to Ministry of health, will dominate the strain of a H1N1 (“swine flu”). The Agency of vaccination is called the chief weapon against him.
