Moscow supports efforts to establish in Myanmar interfaith dialogue and calls not to interfere in the internal Affairs of the state, said the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“It is important to understand that the desire, the desire to interfere in the internal Affairs of a sovereign state can lead to the exacerbation of sectarian strife. Once again, we support efforts to establish in Myanmar inter-religious dialogue with the participation of spiritual leaders of all faiths,” said Zakharov to journalists.

She noted that the government of Myanmar has taken steps to facilitate the return to places of permanent residence of internally displaced persons. “Expect to be taken similar measures and in relation to other categories of persons involved in migration crisis,” she said.

In Rakhine state Myanmar’s military and security forces since the end of August carried out an operation against Islamic militants living there are ethnic Rohingya (Rohingya), whose representatives, ethnic Bengalis, in Myanmar, considered illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and denies most of them citizenship. The operation began after militants Rohingya on August 25 conducted a coordinated attack on several police posts and army barracks in Rakhine state. Nearly 400 people were killed.
