The United States could defuse the situation around the DPRK, saying that it is not infringing on the sovereignty of North Korea; but it is unlikely the Americans will go for it, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich.

The DPRK on Friday conducted another launch of a ballistic missile that flew over Northern Japanese island of Hokkaido in the Pacific ocean.

“Each missile launch, the DPRK only reinforces the tensions in the world, making the development of a catastrophic event more likely,” — said Klintsevich reporters on Friday.

The Senator noted that it still considers such actions of Pyongyang’s blatant provocation. “You can choose other equally rigid definition, all the words of condemnation have already said more than once. But, unfortunately, it does not promote a solution to the problem in the slightest”, he added.

According to the politician, the question is what to do next. He noted that economic pressure on North Korea has shown its utter futility, and military threats only enrage her leadership.

“It is unlikely North Korea will affect and counter ballistic missiles of South Korea”, — he believes.

“It is almost certain that the situation could change, the official U.S. statement that they would fix their rejection of attacks on the sovereignty of the DPRK and attempts to influence it by force,” — said the MP.

However, he did not think that even for this most important goal — security of the world — the President of the United States Donald trump is able to transcend themselves.

“Besides, in America, it can be regarded as a weakness, which is equivalent to the mark”, — said Klintsevich.
