For the head of the Communist party faction in the regional Parliament Sergey Mamayev voted 19.18 percent of voters, the candidate from LDPR, the Deputy of the state Duma Kirill Cherkasov received 9.84% of the votes, the commander of the headquarters of the public organization “Student construction teams of the Kirov region” Nikolai Barsukov (“Communists of Russia”) — 4.28 percent.
According to preliminary data, voter turnout in the gubernatorial elections in the region amounted to 30.77 percent.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Vasiliev, acting Kirov Governor in July last year.
