In Moscow hosted a reception for the new Ambassador of France in Russia Sylvie Berman.
It is reported that the Ambassador in the Russian capital was attended by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexei Meshkov. On the website of the Russian foreign Ministry said that during the meeting was reaffirmed the mutual desire to continue an open and trusting dialogue on all major issues in contemporary agenda. In addition, an agreement was reached to continue facilitating the development of relations between the two countries on the principles of friendship and cooperation.
Berman Meshkov presented copies of his credentials. The Deputy Minister in turn the lady wished the Ambassador success in her responsible work, which will focus on the strengthening of relations between Russia and France in different areas.
Sylvie Berman previously headed the French mission in London. In addition, she is the first woman who was appointed Ambassador of France to one of the countries — permanent members of Security Councils of the UN. In 2011-2014 Ms. Berman was the head of the Embassy of France in Beijing.
