The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has expressed protest to Russia in connection with the detention of Ukrainian citizen Pavel Mushroom. According to a Friday statement by the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, he was arrested on 25 August 2017 and is in jail in the city of Krasnodar.
“The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its strong protest to the Russian side… and requires without delay to ensure access of Ukrainian Consul to the detainee, to provide comprehensive information about the place, causes and circumstances of his detention, conditions of detention and ensure his immediate return home”, — the document says.
Earlier it was reported that a former employee of the State border service of Ukraine Ihor Hryb said that Russian special services kidnapped his son Paul during a visit to Belarus. The Ukrainian Embassy in Minsk sent a note to the foreign Ministry of Belarus with a view to ascertaining the whereabouts of Ukrainian. The Prosecutor’s office in Chernihiv region opened a criminal proceedings under article “premeditated murder” the disappearance of 19-year-old citizen of Ukraine Pavel Mushroom.
Earlier on Friday the Ministry of internal Affairs of Belarus announced that the citizen of Ukraine Pavel Mushroom and their employees are not delayed, and did not go to the police.
