MOSCOW, September 9. /TASS/. EMERCOM of Russia is ready to provide aid to Caribbean countries affected by hurricane “Irma”. This was announced by the Minister of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov, answering the question TASS.
“Those countries which have suffered from blow “Irma”, our rescuers, our high technology and the Russian corps of emergency humanitarian response is ready for applications to provide assistance and support in this difficult situation,” he said.
Puchkov said that EMERCOM of Russia has already expressed its proposals to foreign colleagues.
Hurricane “Irma” reached the territory of Cuba and moves along its Northern coast. According to the forecasts of meteorologists, the morning of September 10, the hurricane will reach South Florida. “Irma” from mid-week storms in the Caribbean and raised in Puerto Rico, and the Islands owned by great Britain, France and the Netherlands. The result of the passage of the hurricane has killed at least 22 people.
