The Kremlin had sent the French President the Emmanuel Macron invitation to visit Russia. About this informed the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the Eastern economic forum (WEF), reports RIA Novosti on Thursday, September 7.
“The invitation was, but no date yet”, — said Peskov.
On 8 July ahead of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Hamburg macron said that Moscow and Paris need to move to a new phase in bilateral relations.
The first working meeting of Putin and Macron took place on may 29 in Versailles, communication between the two leaders lasted nearly three hours. According to their results, the Russian President said that sanctions against Moscow will not help to solve the internal conflict in Ukraine, and urged the French media to fight for the abolition of all restrictions in the global economy. Putin also invited his French colleague to visit the Russian capital with a long visit.
WEF 2017 is held in Vladivostok from 6 to 7 September. The forum was attended by Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, South Korean President moon Jae-In and President of Mongolia Khaltmagiin Battulga.
