State Duma Deputy Natalya Poklonskaya said she has documents that contain evidence that the film directed by Alexei Uchitel “Matilda” had corrupt sources of funding.
She stated kp.ru.
“It’s certain contracts, since December 2011, the money transfer in the amount of €10 million from offshore Cyprus company for the account of one well-known Foundation in support of culture and art. Allocated specifically for the film “Matilda”, — said the Deputy.
According to her, she intends to transfer all the documents to law enforcement agencies. While Poklonskaya added that previously applied to the court of auditors to obtain information about the cost of production of the film.
“According to estimates “Matilda” was worth 814 million 265 thousand rubles. The source was the budget money in the form of subsidies. They amounted to 280 million rubles. A specific amount after all the calculations will be known on September 30,” she concluded.
Earlier, the Director’s lawyer Konstantin Dobrynin sent Poklonskaya warning, which informed her about the inadmissibility of violation of the Russian laws in respect of anti-social behaviour in relation to the movie “Matilda”.
