YEKATERINBURG, September 6. /TASS/. Sudden changes in temperature in summer led to the flowering of Apple trees in Yekaterinburg in September. On Wednesday told the correspondent of TASS Dean of the faculty of agrotechnologies and land management of the Ural state agrarian University (Usau) Mikhail Karpukhin.
“In Ekaterinburg blossomed Apple trees, this is due to the rapid changes of temperatures from plus 30 to plus 10 degrees. The trees didn’t handle stress well, and began his power to spend on the production of flowers, which in itself is harmful at this time because the plant spends a force on the aging of the wood that is necessary for survival,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, Apple trees belong to the Siberian variety that is frost resistant. “The last time the tree bloomed late about two years ago, when there were also such changes,” — said Karpukhin.
He also added that prior to the coming frosts of the Ural gardeners need to pay particular attention to heat-loving crops. “They need to hide for the night, so as not to lose the harvest,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
Previously, forecasters Ural hydrometeorological center declared storm warning. According to meteorologists, in the coming days in the region will be cold, frosts are expected to minus 2 degrees.
