Criminal liability for trips of Ukrainian politicians in Russia can enter only if “the legal definition of the aggressor”, said the head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Serhiy Gorbatyuk. According to him, if the authorities want “to impose liability for travel” in any country, particularly Russia, that the country must “confer the status of” aggressor, reports 112.ua. However, some believes that “control is possible” and in any other way — heads of departments can just ban travel to his subordinates. Then the offenders can be brought to “disciplinary action”, for example, layoffs.
We will remind, the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak proposed at the legislative level to forbid to visit Russia Ukrainian politicians and public figures.
