The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange said that the Russian diplomatic facilities in the United States are inviolable. He wrote about this in his Twitter.

If Russia’s diplomatic missions are standard properties then they are inviolable under the VDR signed by the U. S. https://t.co/ebMv0Z1DU3 pic.twitter.com/jQw7Z4TCni— Julian Assange ? (@JulianAssange) 2 September 2017

“If the Russian missions are standard diplomatic property under the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, which was signed and the United States, it is inviolable”, — he stressed.

August 31, the US authorities demanded to close until September 2, the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco and to cease the use of the building trade delegation in Washington and new York. As explained in the White house, these actions were a response to the reduction of the U.S. diplomatic presence in Russia.

On Saturday evening, September 2, in the buildings of the Russian dippredstavitelstv U.S. officials began actions that the Russian side regarded as a search. In the state Department, in turn, called the U.S. action a “bypass” and “on”.

Since June 2012 Assange is hiding in Ecuador’s Embassy in Britain to avoid extradition to Sweden he was accused of rape and sexual harassment. The guilt, the WikiLeaks founder denies and fears that if extradited to the Swedish authorities in Stockholm will hand him over to the US where he could face the death penalty for publishing classified information.
