A designer of Soviet aircraft carriers Babich emigrated from Ukraine to China
Engineer-shipbuilder Valery Babich, who until 1991 he held the position of chief of a design Bureau for aircraft-carrying cruiser of the black sea shipbuilding plant in Nikolaev, emigrated from Ukraine to China, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the portal china.com.
According to the Agency, the designer moved to Qingdao, where he will work in the local offices.
Babich took part in the creation of aircraft carriers “Kiev”, “Minsk”, “Ulyanovsk”, “Varyag” and others.
