In the Scenarios assessed the prospects of gaining Poland’s war reparations from Russia
MOSCOW, 2 sen — RIA of news. The prospects for Poland as war reparations from Russia and from Germany are zero, such demands is a dead — end path, said RIA Novosti, first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Vladimir Jabbarov.
Previously the policy of the ruling party of Poland “law and justice” said that the country intends to seek war reparations not only from Germany but from Russia — the Riga Treaty of 1921 about the end of the Soviet-Polish war.
“The prospects of such requirements from us, and from Germany absolutely zero,” — said dzhabarov.
According to him, in such a situation the question arises, how can we evaluate the life of 600 thousand Soviet soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Poland from Nazi occupation. “Poland will never be able to pay for it,” said the Senator.
He stressed that, following the same logic, Russia could demand from Poland for compensation for the events of 1612, when the Polish troops “invaded Russia and was sitting in the Kremlin”, as well as compensation from France for the war of 1812.
“These statements are nonsense, it is absolutely a dead end road. I think the present government of Poland has no prospects, it’s too nationalistic, not able to make any compromises. In Europe it is already understand and start to be afraid of Warsaw,” — said dzhabarov.
The Senator also recalled that after world war II, Poland “thanks to Stalin, nothing was the land of East Prussia”.
“So they can’t complain. Then let the first will pay for these lands,” he said.
