Umar Dzhabrailov
The membership of the former Senator from Chechnya Umar Dzhabrailov, the party “United Russia” is temporarily suspended. On Friday, September 1, reported TASS the press service of United Russia.
“August 30 was held a political Council of local branch of “United Russia” Arbat district, where it was decided to suspend the membership of Umar Dzhabrailov to the party in connection with excitation against it criminal case”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
A criminal case against Chechen businessman was opened on 30 August after the incident last night in Moscow Four Seasons hotel, where Dzhabrailov opened fire in the ceiling of premium gun. During the incident no one was hurt. The businessman was arrested as a suspect and later released under a recognizance not to leave.
According to one version, the cause of the fire was the dissatisfaction with the quality of service. Dzhabrailov ordered food in the room, but the cart he was brought to the waiter and the cleaning lady, which caused him to have resentment.
At the same time the source in law enforcement bodies told that the businessman had found a white powder of an unknown substance, it is sent for examination. Now the police finds out whether the former Senator in a condition of narcotic intoxication at the time of arrest. He explained the shots into the ceiling of an unfortunate oversight.
Umar Dzhabrailov was born in 1958 in Grozny, in 1985 graduated from Moscow state University and in 1997 became President of the group of companies “Plaza”. In 2000, he ran for President of Russia, but scored the least votes among 11 candidates. In 2004 a businessman was elected to the Federation Council, but in 2009, the powers were early terminated at his own request.
Currently Dzhabrailov, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Moscow Museum of modern art, honorary academician of the Russian Academy of arts, Vice-President of “Creative Union of artists of Russia”, the founder and head of the Association of entrepreneurs for development of business of patriotism “Avanti”.
