Former Finance Minister and head of the Center for strategic development Alexey Kudrin in interview to TV channel “Russia 1” said that early to say that the former Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev took a bribe. Interview Saturday, November 19, leads Вести.Ru.
According to Kudrin, he can’t imagine that the speaker “could behave this way” with the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin.
“My doubts that all of it could be associated with a difficult configuration [speaker] talking on the territory of “Rosneft”. In fact, it’s not customary for the Minister — I even can’t imagine, especially with such an authoritative and powerful man like Sechin, could behave this way. So I have questions still remain”, he concluded.
Who took the interview, Kudrin Sergey Brilev drew attention to the claims of Ramzan Kadyrov, who said that the speaker also interfere with the transfer “of Chechenneftekhimprom” the property of the Republic. Kudrin, in turn, urged “not to weave this topic in the current context”.
“People like the Minister of economic development, take many decisions that are not always comfortable”, — the politician said, once again stating the need for transparency of the investigation.
Earlier, on 19 November, the head of the Council on human rights under the President of Russia (HRC) Mikhail Fedotov called on to disclose all the materials of the case instituted against the speaker. Fedotov said that the company has the right to know the circumstances of the incident. By law, the materials of the case the Minister is classified.
The speaker was arrested on the night of November 15. On the same day, the Basmanny court of Moscow sanctioned his imprisonment under house arrest till 15 Jan 2017. Russian President Vladimir Putin removed officials from office.
The former Minister is accused of extortion and receiving a bribe in two million dollars. According to investigators, he demanded this amount from the representative of “Rosneft” for the legitimate issuance of a positive conclusion and evaluation in respect of the acquisition of state-owned shares “Bashneft”. The speaker pleaded not guilty and thinks the criminal proceedings against him provocation.
