The US has imposed sanctions against state Duma deputies from the Crimea

USA after the European Union imposed sanctions against six deputies of the state Duma, elected from Crimea. This is stated in the statement of the US Treasury, published on Monday, November 14, on his website.

The list includes former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Ruslan Balbec, the former Deputy speakers of the state Council of the Republic Konstantin Bakharev and Andrei Kozenko, as well as Svetlana Savchenko, Paul Speraw and Dmitry Belik.

As noted by the Director of the office of foreign assets control in the Ministry of Finance of the USA John Smith, Washington continues to closely coordinate with Brussels in putting pressure on Moscow to “protect the security and sovereignty of Ukraine”.

November 9, about the blacklisting of deputies of the state Duma of the seventh convocation from the Crimea declared the Council of the European Union. In accordance with the decision Bahareva, Balbec, Kozenko, Savchenko, Sporovo and Belik banned entry to the countries of the Commonwealth, their assets in the EU, subject to the availability there frozen.

The Russian foreign Ministry announced retaliatory measures, pointing to the legitimacy of the accession of Crimea to Russia.
