The formation of the structure of Regardie, including translations from the interior Ministry troops special forces, aviation units of the private security and licensing system is completed. This was stated by the Director of the Federal service of national guard troops – chief of the troops of the national guard, army General Viktor Zolotov, inspected the St. Petersburg SBM “Granite”, where he presented awards to the most distinguished officers.
According to the commander, since the creation of Regardie to the newly-formed structure has entered more than 160 thousand now former employees of the interior Ministry. Now Regardie – 340 thousand “bayonets”. Organization this Federal service is divided into two components – a military and territorial. Military – I see: shelf, operational brigades and divisions and other units, formerly part of the internal troops. And territorial bodies made up of divisions before entering in the bodies of internal Affairs, private security, riot police, the licensing service.
Police special forces were about two hundred groups, totalling more than 25 thousand fighters. Of them – 82 SWAT, numbering more than 5 thousand employees, the rest – Riot police.
What riot is different from SWAT? The Riot police basically serve as contracted soldiers and sergeants. Riot police needs to suppress riots, to protect the political, cultural and sporting events, to ensure order during the holidays, folk festivals. In principle, this force, the reserve police, the latter, that is to say the argument when a raging crowd, for example, extremists or football fans begins to smash Windows, break Windows, overturn and burn cars.
Another category of special forces – SWAT – consists of the officers. They force support of field investigators of criminal investigation, economic security, i.e. the criminal police. Call them when you need to apprehend armed, dangerous criminals or to free the hostages. Without their participation is not carried out virtually no major operation to crackdown on criminal communities and groups.
Total of OMON and Sobra. – participation in operations against illegal armed groups and the neutralization of any other armed criminal groups, regardless of their ideological beliefs, nationality and region.
This year sobrovtsy 7 arrested thousands of criminals, of which 281 were wanted and 332 – armed, freed 19 hostages seized thousands of illegal guns and ammunition 61 thousand. In fact, this is the most combat-ready units that have fallen from the interior Ministry to Resguardo.
