SKR has accused four commanders of the APU in illegal methods of warfare

The four commanders of the Armed forces of Ukraine was charged in absentia with unlawful methods of warfare. On Monday, November 14, reported the Investigative Committee of Russia.


 


The charges under article “Organization of the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare” against the commanders of the 92-th and 72-th separate mechanized brigades colonels Victor Nikolyuk and Andrei Sokolov.


 


According to investigators, on 27 October, they fired on houses in Makeyevka near Donetsk. Killed two men, injured five people, including a six year old girl.


 


The same charge is in absentia brought to the commander of the 44th separate artillery brigade Colonel Oleg Lisovoy. He orchestrated the shelling of Gorlovka on may 6 that resulted in the deaths of three people, including minors, and the wounding of two local residents.


 


The fourth defendant was a former commander of 72-th separate mechanized brigade Andrey Grishchenko. He now holds the position of commander of the operational command “South” of Land forces. In June 2015, his unit was shelled from “Grad” the village of Telmanovo. Under fire killed a boy of five.


 


“We all remember the unprecedented Nuremberg trial, and, of course, such actions of the Ukrainian military in the Southeast of Ukraine must obtain a legal assessment in the new a similar process. Under what name he will go down in history, time will tell, and now the Russian law enforcement agencies continue to gather evidence that will be put in its basis”, – explained in Department.


 


The investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against a number of Ukrainian commanders accused of attacks on the civilian population.
