McFaul was banned in Russia for damage to bilateral relations
MOSCOW, 13 Dec — RIA Novosti. Former U.S. Ambassador Michael McFaul entered in the list of banned in Russia for deliberate damage relations between Moscow and Washington, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
Previously, McFaul said in his account on Facebook that can’t come to Russia because of the fact that included in the sanctions list.
“What he started to write that it was included for its proximity to (U.S. President Barack — ed.) Obama… We just didn’t know about the closeness, but all this is irrelevant. We are talking about deliberate damage to bilateral relations (from the McFaul — ed.)”, — said Zakharov was the TV channel “Russia 1”.
According to her, the McFaul — the man “who purposefully spoil bilateral relations.” The representative of the Russian foreign Ministry stressed that the inclusion of the former Ambassador to the sanctions list “is a response, mirror”.
