Moscow is ready to wait until the West will come to an understanding in the matter of the annexation of Crimea to Russia. About it the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said in published on Friday, November 11th interview with news Agency Associated Press.

“Russia will never discuss the issue of territorial jurisdiction of the Crimea and are willing to wait until it is understood in Europe and the U.S.,” said Sands, answering the question of how the subject can perceive the newly elected President of the United States Donald trump and his administration.

He added that the Russian side no one “will never be ready to start any discussion on Crimea”.

Also during the interview, Peskov suggested that trump could strengthen an atmosphere of trust with Moscow, persuading NATO to slow the extension or to withdraw its troops from the borders of Russia. This step, according to the official representative of the Kremlin, would have led “to a kind of détente in Europe.”

Crimea and Sevastopol became the Russian Federation following the results of last March 16, 2014 referendum, for this decision voted by the majority of inhabitants of the Peninsula. Ukraine, USA and EU refused to recognize the independence of Crimea and its reunification with Russia.
