Moscow. 10 Nov. INTERFAX.RU Petersburg scientists have been able with a high degree of probability to establish the burial place of writer Daniil Kharms, which still remained unknown.
As reported “Interfax” the head of the prize Committee, Kharms, Alexander Mars, the researchers conducted archival and search a job for two months and came to the conclusion that the writer is buried at Piskarevskoye cemetery.
“Researchers primarily interested in the logistics of export to the places of burial of the dead in February 1942 (Kharms died on 2 February) from the area of Arsenalnaya embankment, Arsenalnaya street. According to documents Piskarevsky the bodies from the area were exported there. This is indirectly confirmed by other documents, eyewitness accounts about the situation of that time,” said Mars.

According to him, currently discussing the creation of a grave monument or a symbolic grave in the Piskarevsky cemetery in memory of Harmse.
“We plan jointly with leading charmaigne to start work on the design of the Cenotaph,” said Mars.
Harms prize in literature and art was established in 2016 and is awarded for groundbreaking works. The ceremony of awarding the winners will take place on December 30.
Kharms died in Leningrad in 1942. In 1941, the writer was arrested for “defeatism”, placed in a detention facility “Crosses”. Kharms died in a psychiatric unit “Cross”. In 1960, Kharms was rehabilitated.

In 186 mass graves are buried 420 thousand residents who died from starvation, bombing, shelling, and 70 thousand soldiers defenders of Leningrad.
