Moscow recognizes the election promises of the elected President of the USA of Donald trump with caution. This was stated on Thursday, November 10, the Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, reports RIA Novosti.
“While we are cautiously optimistic, perhaps to relate to those words we heard from trump in the election campaign. He talked about the willingness to talk, to speak. This is important,” — said Peskov told reporters in new York.
From the new administration in Washington, Moscow wants constructive signals for cooperation. However, while Russia will have to work with the authorities, said the press Secretary of the Russian President.
“What will happen then — we’ll see. This will depend largely on the atmosphere of reciprocity, which must first occur in those harsh terms for our bilateral relations, which take place now,” he added.
November 9, Peskov said that Russia is seeking good relations with the US, but this does not mean that all contentious issues between the two countries suddenly disappear after the coming to power of a new American leader.
Trump was elected President of the United States November 9, he will take office after the inauguration on January 20, 2017. During the election campaign, he repeatedly expressed hope for cooperation with Moscow, particularly in the fight against the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (banned in Russia).
