Died an outstanding Russian organist Garry Grodberg
The musician was known for his interpretations of Bach, he was an honorary member of the Bach and Handel societies in Germany, and was part of the jury of the International Bach competition in Leipzig.
MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Russian organist, people’s artist of Russia Harry Grodberg has died on 88-m to year of life in Moscow. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow Philharmonic.
“In Moscow on 88-m to year of life died Harry Grodberg,” — said the press service.
Harry Y. Grodberg — Soviet and Russian organist, laureate of the State prize of Russia (2001). Was awarded the order of Merit (2000), order “For merits before Fatherland” IV degree (2004) and the order of Friendship (2010).
