In Northern India crashed Russian paraglider

NEW DELHI, Nov 2 — RIA Novosti. Paraglider pilot from Russia has died in Northern India as the result of an accident during a training flight, told RIA Novosti the local police.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in the district Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. Muscovite Nikolai Yudin, who was 42 years old, arrived here in company with five other Russian and one Ukrainian paragliders.

“His parachute caught in power lines, the sling was cut, he lost control and fell from a height of about 25-30 meters,” — said RIA Novosti officer of the County police, who requested anonymity.

According to him, the accident occurred at about 13.00 (10.30 GMT). Yudin died before trained Yudin paragliders had reached the crash site.

A spokesman said that the police informed the Russian Embassy. After the autopsy the body will be transferred to the Russian diplomats.

In the consular Department of the Russian Embassy RIA Novosti confirmed that in the course of the incident.

“We are in constant contact with friends and relatives of the deceased. Now carried out all the necessary formalities to repatriate the body home,” — said the head of the consular Department of the Embassy Mikhail Vorobiev.

According to him, this process will be completed in the coming days.
